Our 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of perfection from the Napa Valley. Early bud break and a warm, dry spring led to an almost flawless growing season. The grapes were hand -picked at the optimal state of maturity, showing a perfect balance of classic Cabernet fruit flavors and rich acidity which came together allowing our winemaker to create a memorable wine. The grapes were sourced from three high quality vineyards located in the heart of the Napa Valley; Red Hen, Skellenger and Oak Knoll. These vineyards traditionally produce vibrant colors and flavors combined with the structure associated with the high mineral content of the soils found in this area. This classic style of Cabernet allows the wine to be very versatile when paired with food or simply delicious by itself.

Aroma: Spice, dried fruits, black cherries, cassis, soft rose petals
Tasting Characteristics: Soft Currant and fresh black cherries dance on the palate followed by dried fruits and chocolate that lead to a rustic, classic Napa Cab mouth feel that slowly caresses the palate.
Body: Medium but bold, the wine is well rounded yet the finish is soft and delicate.

Our Chardonnay from Russian River Valley in Sonoma is the embodiment of an American wine with a Burgundian soul. To accurately represent our mission at Napa Smith Winery we chose to source our grapes for our Sonoma Smith Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma. With a very cool growing season influenced by the ebb and flow of the Pacific Ocean fog, these grapes develop slowly, compose a lush fruit bouquet while maintaining a bright acidity and integrated minerality.

We like to refer to this style of wine as the crossroads where the New World and Old World meet. There are only a few growing reqions in the US that perfectly match the grapes physiological needs with the appropriate climate and soil type; Russian River and Chardonnay are one of them.

Aroma: Citrus zest, orange blossoms, honey suckle, caramel and vanilla

Tasting characteristics: Ripe Fuji apple, stone fruit, lemon blossom, wet slate, cream and hazelnut
Body: Medium body, cleansing mouthfeel with balance of flavor and acidity that excites the entire palate
